Cheryl spotted without ring in X Factor drama

She’s often a hot gossip topic, but Cheryl Cole sparked rumours among fans this weekend as she was spotted without her wedding ring on the X Factor.

Cheryl, who is usually seen wearing her wedding band on her ring finger, was spotted with bare hands at the judging table this week, sparking rumours that her marriage to Ashley Cole is on the rocks.

For the past few weeks, the rumour mill has been rife with speculation, culminating with the news that Cheryl has put baby plans with Ashley on hold to focus on her solo career being the most recent.

However, Cheryl – whose song Fight For This Love was knocked off the top spot by X Factor runners-up JLS – has stayed silent on the matter.

Simon Cowell was his usual controversial self this weekend, as his executive decision as a judge saw promising singer Lucie Jones exit the show.

Lucie, who sang This Is Me from the film Camp Rock, landed in the bottom two after receiving the fewest votes from the public.

Joining her were John & Edward, who, despite a cult following, didn’t receive enough votes to stay in the competition.

After two votes to save Lucie from Cheryl and Dannii, Simon Cowell had the deciding vote – with the option to either send home John & Edward or take the decision to deadlock.

He opted for the latter, and, with the fewest votes from the public, Lucie was eliminated from the show.

John & Edward, nicknamed Jedward, went down well with the judges after performing the Ghostbusters theme tune, but weren't as popular with their supporters this week.

A tearful Dannii blamed herself for the result, saying that she had ‘obviously done something wrong’, crying to the extent that eliminated Lucie had to console her.

Danyl Johnson and Lloyd Daniels, who had previously landed in the bottom two, managed to scrape through the vote after their performances were well-received.

This leaves Simon Cowell as the leader of the pack, as he is the only judge to still have all three of his acts remaining in the competition.

oh Please! The X factor is not about the acts anymore, it's all about the judges and their egos - time this one was off our screens for good!

sdfsdf and alibi01 - I'm with you there, real talent is too easily swept aside for controversial acts that will keep the viewer ratings up! As for the judges ego's, well the studio really isn't big enough to hold them all in is it - though Danni seems to be the most down to earth lol!!!

I agree with all of the above - but I don't condemn Jedward they are very hard working boys trying to make something of themselves. They could be the next Ant & Dec - presenting children's T.V.

This is my first year watching the Xfactor and I think Cheryl is a terrible mentor and not a very nice person - she seems to hate Danyl and the songs she gives her boys are awful.

look all the judges need to go home and let the singers do there job and sing!!!!!!!!!! cheryl is a lyer and she knows that her marriage is going bad and she should leave the country! lol

Yeah Emerald I think Dannii seems the most down-to-earth & 'Real' judge. I can't bloody stand Louis Walsh - he's acting like an absolute prat (moreso than usual!) I believe in Karma but I'm close to wishing something vile would happen to the odious little toad...

so what!! cheryls not wearing her ring its probably sprained her finger its that big!!!!
i dont blame her for taking the ring off i would too if i was married to te creep she is cheryls lovely why do people give her a hard time
