‘I’m worried Frank won’t commit’

They could hardly keep their hands off each other on holiday last week – but Christine Bleakley has confessed to pals that she’s worried about Frank Lampard not wanting to get married.
The Daybreak star and the Chelsea footballer, both 32, were seen kissing and frolicking by their hotel pool in Las Vegas. But despite looking so loved-up on their break, pals say she’s concerned that she and Frank may never make it down the aisle.
As Closer reported last month, the pair have already discussed their plans for a “low-key” summer wedding, with Christine even considering inviting Frank’s ex, Elen Rivas, 36, mum to his daughters Luna, four, and Isla, three – but she’s getting anxious that Frank doesn’t seem to be in a hurry to make it official.
A pal reveals: “Christine adores Frank and he’s clearly madly in love with her but, all the same, she wonders if he may have commitment issues. She was becoming increasingly frustrated in Las Vegas. She’s been telling pals she thought they’d be getting married this summer. Even if Frank does propose and she gets a ring, she’s can’t help wondering if the wedding will ever happen.”
Christine and Frank have been inseparable since meeting in October 2009. They were snapped at a posh jewellers on a romantic break in Paris earlier this year, and despite reports that the England star was planning an extravagant proposal on board one of Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich’s luxury yachts on holiday in Sardinia last week, the pair flew to Vegas instead – and at the time Closer went to press, there were no reports of him popping the question.
The pal continues: “Vegas should have been their dream trip but it didn’t pan out exactly as Christine wanted. She doesn’t want to pressure Frank into telling everyone the wedding’s on, but she’s keen to move the relationship to the next level.
“Frank’s her dream man and they have a great relationship so she doesn’t understand why he’s dragging his heels and it’s making her feel a little insecure.”
And the pal says Christine, who was engaged in 2004 to Dublin restaurant owner Christian Stokes, is now considering giving Frank a deadline to settle down. But she’s not overly confident, particularly since Frank dated his ex-fiancée, Spanish model Elen, for seven years before they split in November 2008.
“They’ve got another holiday planned together later in June,” the pal says. “Christine’s hoping for more of a commitment then, but she can’t help feeling unsure. They get on so well, she doesn’t know what’s holding him back from marriage but sometimes when she brings it up, he seems to change the subject.”
