‘I’ve never felt so confident!’

Sipping drinks and lounging round a Las Vegas pool surrounded by family and friends last week, Coleen Rooney was clearly making the most of her final big holiday with husband Wayne before his training with the England squad kicks in.
And as she took the opportunity to show off her trim size 8-10 figure in a palm tree-print halterneck bikini, the mum-of-one, 26, delightedly told friends she feels happier than ever with her body.
A pal says: “Coleen feels great at the moment. She’s taken up Bikram yoga alongside her usual training and says she’s toned up and feels good about herself.
“She’s especially pleased with her stomach. When she’s eating badly it’s the first thing that goes wobbly, so she’s really chuffed that it’s toned.”
Bikram yoga is practised in 40°C heat – the high temperature helps you burn more calories and also relaxes the muscles.
The pal adds: “Coleen never thought she’d take to yoga, but she really likes it alongside her gym work. Between the both of them, she reckons she’s now in the best shape she’s ever been, telling pals: ‘I’ve never felt so confident about my body.’”
This summer, footballer Wayne, 26, will be playing in the European Cup, which kicks off in Poland on 8 June. And staying at the US city’s luxury Wynn casino resort with Wayne, their two-year-old son Kai, parents Tony and Colette and best pals, Wayne’s cousin Claire Rooney and Amy Wilkinson, pals say Coleen was determined to make the most of the holiday.
A source says: “Coleen’s been gearing up for Vegas for weeks now. It’s her and Wayne’s last chance to spend some time together before he’s pretty much off the radar, so she’s determined to enjoy it before she becomes a ‘football widow.’ And with all their mates with them, they had a blast!
“When the European Cup starts, Coleen jokes she’ll be lucky to grab quick phone calls with Wayne, so they wanted to share some fun times before the football madness begins.”
After feeling self-conscious about her body on a Miami bikini shoot in January, 5ft 3 Coleen went on a two-week body blitz in March, losing 5lbs. She’s now thought to weigh around 8st 10lbs and has honed her figure with two-hour exercise sessions three to four times a week. As well as the yoga, she’s doing workouts with kettlebell weights and Power Plate sessions.
Her personal trainer, Elise Lindsay, recently revealed Coleen was doing “strength, endurance and interval training” to achieve her more sculpted look. And pals say she’s also been making an effort to eat healthily and ditch the junk food.
A source adds: “Coleen says the one thing that makes her think about the food she puts in her mouth is being in her bikini. She knows if she even slacks off for a week, she’ll get a bit wobbly!”
