Denise Van Outen

Denise: 'I think it's a boy!'

Tuesday 17 November 2009

She’s 14 weeks pregnant with her first child, and sources say TV presenter Denise Van Outen is already convinced she’s having a boy.

The mum-to-be – who married her West End star husband Lee Mead in a low-key ceremony in the Seychelles earlier this year – can’t wait for her baby’s arrival in May.

A friend says: “Although Denise has only had her first scan and doesn’t know the sex of the baby yet, she thinks she’s having a boy. She’s been joking that the baby will be ‘an all-singing, all-dancing little monkey.’

“Denise has always wanted kids and wants at least three. She’s keen to spend more time at her house in the country and wants to raise her brood there – she’s already said she’ll swap her Louboutins for Hunter wellies!”

According to pals, 35-year-old Denise told Lee, 28, she was pregnant over a romantic dinner at their Kent mansion. The baby is due in May.

A pal says: “Denise and Lee were having a candle-lit dinner at home and she told him to get ready for the arrival of their little bundle of joy. He was over the moon. She then warned Lee that she wanted a natural birth with him in the delivery room.”

Earlier this year, Denise spoke out about her desire to have a family, saying: “I think it’s important to have children with the right person – and Lee’s the first guy I have ever wanted them with.

I look at him and know he’d make a great father. Our kids will have so much curly hair!”

Pals say size 10 Denise – who’s previously dated Teachers actor James Lance and Jamiroquai’s Jay Kay – is not looking forward to putting on weight during pregnancy.

A source adds: “Denise hasn’t gained any weight yet but she’s already moaning that her bottom looks massive.

“She has a tiny bump, which she’s called her ‘Sunday Roast’ as it looks like she’s overdone it on Yorkshire puds and roast potatoes.”
