Elton John is known for being a little, how shall we say this? Well…he often speaks his mind. And this time he seems to have peed off the whole music industry!

The 63-year-old artist blasted most pop performers in an interview in the new issue of The Word magazine. If you thought having a baby in his life would mellow him then think again…

Asked if he still studies pop records the way he used to, the multi Grammy-winning musician replies: “Frankly, they all sound the same. It’s hard to tell Girls Aloud from The Saturdays. And then there’s Cheryl Cole… It’s all c**p.

“British pop music like that is the worst, it’s just awful. It could have been made by anybody.”

He then goes on to rant about performers that lip-synch saying, ‘All lip-synchers should be shot. Only drag queens are allowed to lip-synch.’

And he doesn’t stop there, digging into boybands, the Candle In The Wind singer continued:

“Bands who fly in vocals – f*** off! I want to kill them.

“Go and see Take That or Westlife and how much of that is live?

“I know Gary Barlow can sing – that solves that one.

“I think they genuinely do sing their stuff, but 99% of the other f****** Herberts out there can’t sing a note.

And then he started on the reality TV contestants:

“Who the f*** is Kim Kardashian? Some stupid old tart from somewhere or other.

“Video killed music.

“Reality has killed talent.

“Can any X Factor people cut the mustard?”

Well, glad that’s off your chest Elton!

Yay, Elton, go for it- he has more talent in his lttle finger, than most of todays' 'pop stars'!

what a prick! who does this man think he is! yes hes successful but he's npt a very nice person! he really needs t get into the 21st centuary as the likes of cheryl cole, the saturdays etc that he is slagging off are the bands that have replaced him and are actually incredibly successful and current!

emmmm everyone is initialed to there opinion and i agree!!! CHERYL COLE is shit live she can not sing to save her life!!! she has some cheek telling people they can and can not sing on the x factor! and she is a bitch in real life lets face it if she was not "hot" no one would like her Elton john makes fantastic music and has made the likes of the lion king become the lion king! music is not the same as it used to be!!! go ELTON JOHN!!!! oh and the saturdays would be nothing without una!!!

ooooh touchy no need to get personal woody! lol i was simply saying that these acts that hes slagging off are at the top of the charts and have screaming fans everywhere! not saying elton's not talented of course he is im just saying he's a prick!
