Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie is used to wowing her audiences with her music, dance moves and daring outfits. In 2009 she gained 17lbs for her role in the movie Nine, but loss it all to regain her fabulous toned figure. So how does she do it?
The 37-year-old has a demanding exercise regime, but insists that for her, variety is the most important thing.
''I switch up my workouts all the time. I'll go from jumping rope to hiking to the elliptical. I also use free weights and bands. It keeps me challenged and fends off boredom.''
But she always makes sure to do mid-section exercises.
“If I don’t do sit-ups, my stomach sticks out,” she said. “Legs are easy for me. That’s my lucky spot.”
She admits it’s hard to look fabulous while she’s on tour.
“I need structure. I need to get enough sleep. I need to make sure that I’m having regular workouts, and that they put in time for hair and makeup and nails, because I do have to get my nails done. I have to get my roots touched up and get facials, because when you’re traveling, the skin doesn’t look as nice.”
Her big diet secret came from her husband, Hollywood heartthrob, Josh Duhamel.
She says reducing fruit and vegetables and drinking them as juice helps keep her healthy and in shape.
''Josh turned me on to the book The Beauty Detox Solution, by Kimberly Snyder. It's about juicing as a way of life. I don't plan to make the switch completely, but I'm adding superfoods to my system with her green smoothie.''
She also has some practical advice for exercising when you have a figure as curvy as hers.
She said: ''I have to wear two sports bras when I do my cardio. It takes a lot to hold these puppies up!
