Hot hunk alert! Here in the Closer office we can’t stop drooling over pics of new Superman star Henry Cavill going shirtless while filming Superman: Man of Steel in Canada.
The 28-year-old British actor looks incredibly buff in the shirtless pictures taken on location in Vancouver, but his amazing body hasn’t come without a lot of hard work.
He revealed his gruelling diet and exercise regime recently, saying
“I’m on 5000 calories a day… You’ve got to eat protein first, then a little bit of carbs…you’ve got to keep your hunger levels going.
“I’m training two and a half hours a day, pushing my body beyond its normal limits, putting on a lot of muscle mass and just making myself look like Superman.”
You’re doing a fantastic job if you ask us Henry!
Henry will also be showing off his buff bod in action movie The Immortals, one to suggest if you want brownie points from the boyf AND a fit-man-fest!
Cavill also spoke about stepping into the famous Superman suit, telling Total Film,
“It’s extremely cool. There’s no other feeling like it. They just put it on, I turned around and look in the mirror and you can’t really play it cool – you sort of guffaw and laugh.
“I thought "OK, holy hell, this is real, it’s not a joke anymore. This is it…you’re doing it, you’re right in the middle of it."
Man of Steel, due for release in 2013, boasts a star-studded cast, with Amy Adams as Lois Lane, and Diane Lane and Kevin Costner as Clark Kent’s parents. Russell Crowe adds to the line-up as Jor-El, and Lawrence Fishburne is Daily Planet Editor Perry White.
