Lydia Bright "If Gemma and Arg are a real couple then I'm happy for them"

TOWIE girls are renowned for their false eye lashes and lashings of fake tan, but brave Lydia Bright took part in the St. Ives ‘Seven Day Challenge’ last week and looked amazing posing without a scrap of make up. The 22 year-old told Closer: "I used to wear too so much make up when I was younger and just pile it on. I think all young girls do that. But now I'm learning less is more and trying to go for a more natural look. But posing without any make up was terrifying! I was worried I'd look awful!"
Lydia, 21, who has been dating Tom since May, says that her new man fills her with confidence. She gushes: “We’re officially boyfriend and girlfriend now and I’m so happy. I never thought I’d get into a relationship so soon after Arg but, when it feels right, you can’t fight it. Tom gives me so much confidence and finds me most attractive when I’m dressed down and without make-up. He even bought me a pair of flat shoes recently because I only owned heels. He’s trying to turn me casual!”
She also admitted she struggled to believe ex-boyfriend James “Arg” Argent’s new relationship with fellow TOWIE star Gemma Collins, 31, was real just two weeks ago. And opening up to Closer last week, Lydia Bright reveals she still has doubts over whether it’s genuine – but admits she has given the pair her blessing.
She says: “I don’t socialise with Gemma and Arg, so I couldn’t say whether their romance is real or not. If they really are a couple and happy, then I wish them all the best. I’m finally happy after my split with Arg and I hope he can find happiness too.”
But size 8 Lydia doesn’t hold back when she attacks Arg for reportedly asking Gemma to lose weight before they became an item. Curvy size 16-18 Gemma revealed on the Marbella special of the show, The Only Way Is Marbs, last month that Arg had asked her to slim before she became his girlfriend.
Lydia says: “If he said that, then that was unfair and cruel. When you’re with someone, you should love them for who they are.”
And, after Arg said in May that he had been unfaithful to Lydia during their relationship, she insists that she has no doubts about her new man, TOWIE co-star Tom Kilbey. She smiles: “Tom is just different to Arg in every way. He’d never give me anything to worry about in that respect. He’s such a chilled-out guy and it’s a whirlwind romance.”
Lydia went through a painful split from Arg, 24, in January after four years together. But, seven months on from their break-up, she insists that she’s no longer bitter.
She says: “I learnt so much from my relationship with Arg. Everything bad that happens just makes you who you are and you learn from it. And I’d never let someone treat me like that again. I’m not saying my whole relationship with Arg was bad because it wasn’t. There were a lot of good points, but it just didn’t work. And, even though the relationship made me sad at times, it also made me so much stronger.”
Lydia Bright took part in the St. Ives ‘Seven Day Challenge’ to achieve fresher, more radiant looking skin, giving her the confidence to go without makeup at a makeup free shoot.
