Be more creative with your kids!
Friday 16 March 2012
When was the last time you played a made-up game with your kids? The last time you created a den whilst looking out for pirates trying to steal your treasure?
Well, if recent statistics are anything to go by, it was probably quite a while ago, if ever. Research published by the University of Edinburgh has found that 69% of British parents think creativity is vital for their children’s development but many are unsure of how to encourage it. 1 in 5, in fact, admit to leaving the task in the hands of schoolteachers and playgroups!
It also found that 1 in 7 parents spend less than an hour a week dedicated to their children’s creativity needs! And so, parents are being urged to become more imaginative with their children to stop Britain plunging into a creativity crisis.
Celebrity dad Jeff brazier has teamed up with Mini Babybel to launch an initiative to encourage families to get creative. Check out the video below with some great tips on how to be more creative with your kids!
