Joanna Page expecting her first child with husband James Thornton

Gavin and Stacey star Joanna Page has announced that she is expecting her first child.
The 34-year-old actress, who is married to fellow actor James Thornton, announced the news on twitter this afternoon.
Announcing the news to her 78,000 followers, she wrote: “Happy news! James + I are delighted to announce we're expecting a baby! X”
Despite sporting a slightly rounder belly at recent public appearances, the news comes as a surprise to Page fans. Just two months ago the actress told a British newspaper that she did not have immediate plans to have children, despite wanting them in future.
“We would love a family,” said the actress. “We’ve just moved into a house in the country and we’d like to fill it with kids — and dogs.”
And it seems children have been something the couple have looked forward to for sometime, as Page reflected on the idea of motherhood in an interview last year.
She said: “Careers, when they take off, can take your mind off babies temporarily, but I think it always comes back to when the time is right.”
Asked what kind of mother she’d be, Joanna replied: “'I’d be the type who turns up with her hair in ponytail, no make-up and still in pyjamas. I wouldn’t be very glam.”
