Johnny Depp surprises school children

It’s the stuff childhood dreams are made of, the kind of fantasy you indulged in while sitting in a mundane geography class. Yesterday, Johnny Depp made the fantasies of one London school girl come true when he bombarded her class as Captain Jack Sparrow!
The legendary actor who was filming nearby popped into Meridian Primary School in Greenwich, South East London, after 9-year-old pupil, Beatrice Delap, visited the movie set and wrote Depp a letter saying: “We are a bunch of budding young pirates and we’re having trouble mutinying against the teachers! We’d love it if you could come and help!”
To the amazement of the whole school Captain Jack Sparrow - aka Johnny Depp - answered her plea and turned up at the school with his fellow cast members in tow.
Beatrice said: “He asked where I was so I put my hand up and he gave me a hug. He pulled the letter out of his pocket and said he was going to frame it.”
Father-of-two Depp, 47, told another child to study hard: “as pirates have to be cleverer than everyone else.”
The school had only ten minutes notice to prepare for the superstars visit, where he was escorted by police who are routinely on set.
Beatrice said Johnny told her: “Maybe we shouldn’t mutiny today because there are police outside.”
To which she replied: “That’s probably a good idea.”
Ahh, could we love Johnny Depp anymore? We’ve also never before been so jealous of a nine-year-old girl!
