Kanye West: "The press demonise me"
Friday 26 August 2011
Just days after Kanye West told crowds at the Big Chill he is sick of the press ‘comparing him to Hitler’, the rapper has blurted out a load more accusatory nonsense at a gig in Norway.
Kanye (or should that be Kanye’s ego?) took to the stage and launched a bitter rant against the press, in between playing a few hits of course. He said:
"It feels so good to come by here and rock y'all tonight. We came to make sure you all have a good time 'cause so many bad things have happened."
He continued: "I'm so thankful to have my voice back and I want to thank everyone. Watch The Throne” We think that’s his new album, “is number one in 23 countries with no press or promotion.” That’s right folks: the dizzy heights of number 23. He could probably retire now. His rant continued:
"You know how I feel about the press. I hate the press. They try to take my s**t out of context. They try to demonise me, but it don't matter because my fans are always here."
Wow. Looks like Kanye might need a little nap, he must be over-tired.
He also recently claimed that people treat him as if he’s ‘’insane’’ during his performance at The Big Chill on Saturday:
"I walk through the hotel, and I walk down the street, and people look at me like I'm insane, like I'm Hitler."
At the same gig the superstar arrived on stage 30 minutes late, which he blamed on the fact that he had lost his voice: ‘’This is my most important gig of the summer, but I'm really frustrated. I only have half of my voice. I just want things to be right. This is the reason we started half an hour late." He told fans.
He also shouted at his band and cleared his throat part during one of his songs. We think maybe Kanye should just stick to what he’s good at, rapping and forget the public speaking.
*Thanks to Bacardi for inviting us down to The Big Chill, we had a blast!
