Katie "Our marriage is in crisis"

After months of speculation and rumours that their marriage is on the brink of divorce, the most talked about couple have jetted off to the Indian Ocean for crisis talks.

Katie Price and cage fighter husband Alex Reid have flown out to a secret destination to decide whether there is anything left between them to reignite.

Rumours were fuelled about their rocky marriage after Jordan was seen without her wedding ring on several occasions, but the couple have released smiling pictures to the News Of The World to dispel rumours that they had already split.

Friends say, however, that the pair even admit that their relationship is in jeopardy. According to the News Of The World, friends say that the couple are using their break as the decider as to whether they make a go of their marriage or head for divorce.

One friend told them, “They love each other very much but know it takes more than that to make a marriage work.”

Alex is reportedly fed up with the 'media circus' surrounding them and has struggled to cope with the fame thrust upon him since they married in Las Vegas in February, whilst Jordan is finding it hard to make time for her husband as her empire is growing ever more successful.

Both are also said to harbour grudges over their failure to conceive a baby through IVF.

However, Alex’s mum has insisted that their marriage is 'as strong as ever' - despite the make-or-break holiday.

Carol Reid, 68, insisted all was well, despite the crisis holiday on the other side of the world - though she confessed she had yet to hear from her son since he left the UK.

She told the Sunday Star: 'It’s a load of rubbish and they are as strong as ever.'
