Kirstie Allsopp sparks another feud on Twitter
Thursday 03 February 2011
Presenter Kirstie Allsopp has started another Twitter war, this time with a mother for wearing a short skirt.
Allsopp, who also rowed with Lord Alan Sugar on the social networking site last year tweeted yesterday after seeing PR boss, Melanie Bien on BBC1 claiming that she had just got in from a night out on the town and couldn’t be taken ‘seriously’.
The presenter, who has 90,000 followers, said: “Finance woman on BBC Breakfast clearly came directly from a night out & it’s debatable whether that’s a skirt or not.
Adding: “hard to take her seriously.”
The mother of an18-month-old baby is said to be very disappointed with the remarks as she never goes out and that her discussion on the BBC Breakfast show has been tainted following Allsopp’s rant.
A source at the Telegraph says Bien responded to the tweet by saying: “I was talking about mortgages and Bank of England lending figures, but all that has been lost.
“All anyone is talking about is the length of my skirt. It’s not helpful for women to make these sorts of comments.”
This is not the first time a war has broken out amongst celebrities on the popular networking site. As we mentioned earlier Kirstie also had a twitter argument with Lord Alan Sugar last year after she was asked if she would follow him on the site.
Rapper 50 Cent and ex girlfriend, R’N’B singer, Ciara had a spat on the blogging site after he visited the play boy mansion recently and Lilly Allen and Courtney Love also fell out on Twitter last year.
