Lauren Goodger pulls out of London Marathon

Training for the London Marathon is not to be taken lightly, and so it doesn't come as much of a surprise that some people pull out of the mega 26-mile run before the big day.

And it looks like TOWIE star, Lauren Goodger couldn't hack the tenuous training as she pulls out of the event just months before...

The reality TV star has revealed that she is giving up her dream of running the London Marathon in April because she 'couldn't be bothered with the it.' The 25-year-old set a New year's resolution to 'get fit and run the marathon' for charity, but it seems like the tough run may have been too much like hard work.

Last year Lauren had said that she was anticipating the challenge and that it was 'refreshing to have a goal.'

She said: 'I ran cross-country when I was 13, so I just need to get that fitness back...I’m going to start training straight away'

A friend has apparently revealed: 'She hates working out and she just didn’t put in any effort to get race-ready. She couldn’t even get through a two-mile jog at boot camp without sobbing that it was too tough.'

'She would have embarrassed herself if she had started the race. There is no way she would have made it through 26 miles.'

Lauren has recently revealed that she is unhappy with her weight, and is battling to drop the pounds.

She said in a recent interview: 'I think about it all of the time – from the moment I get up,' she said. 'But I still struggle to do anything about it.

'It’s upsetting me more than anything, it’s like I’m punishing myself. When I think about it it all gets too much. I think everyone looks at me and thinks; "She’s fat." I hate the way I look.'

'I need to be dedicated and although I really want it I can’t seem to put it into action and actually lose any weight,' she said.

'I just want to eat all the time. I don’t have any willpower. But, I want to change badly. I desperately want to be photographed and have people say nice things about me, that I look good rather than "Lauren, what were you thinking?"
