Lauren Goodger speaks out over Towie axe rumour
Thursday 26 April 2012
Lauren attended a launch party last night in London as a video was posted online featuring her discussing the rumours surrounding her shock exit from TOWIE…
In the interview she admitted: “There's been some issues which are currently being looked into while TOWIE's on a break.”
The 25-year-old was reported to have clashed with producers after turning up late to filming of co-stars James 'Arg' Argent, Billi Mucklow and Cara Kilbey's London Marathon party and being rude to producers on arrival about her current scenes being pushed back - Lauren was only briefly seen in last night’s episode.
Lauren has previously accused producers of treating her badly and said she was the real star of the show, even threatening to leave and join MTV so she and her sisters Nicola and Rianna could become the British 'Kardashians'.
Since her ex-fiancé Mark Wright left the show after the third series, Goodger has become more of a supporting character with other cast members storylines featuring more heavily.
It doesn’t help that she’s fallen out with Mark’s sister Jessica Wright who now refuses to film scenes with her, telling a source: “I've told producers I don’t want any scenes with her. I honestly never want to talk to her again.”
In a recent interview with some of her TOWIE co-stars, Ricky Rayment said the cast had been split into two camps - Team Jessica and Team Lauren, following the women's row off-camera during Series 4.Ricky said last week: “I am not really friends with Lauren so I don’t mind telling the truth. She likes herself quite a lot. All she talks about is herself on the show.”
“She still thinks she’s queen bee. She was at her peak in the early series and she’s clinging on”, he added.
Lauren will be filming no more scenes until the dust settles and she has discussed matters with show’s producers.
