Lily Allen is engaged to Sam Cooper

It's been a tough year for poor Lily Allen. Having suffered another heartbreaking miscarriage just weeks ago, it looked as though nothing could put a smile back on her face.

But, it has been revealed that boyfriend Sam Cooper has managed to do just that, as he surprised the singer by proposing to her on Christmas day.

The pair experienced tragedy last month when Lily suffered a miscarriage with the baby she had been carrying for six months, and went to Bali for the Christmas period. Sam proposed to Lily, 25, on Christmas Day on the beach while the pair enjoyed their romantic break.

The couple have been dating since July 2009 and Lily was shocked and overjoyed by Sam’s proposal.

 "Lily is absolutely beaming and emotional at the same time. She had no idea Sam was going to propose and said 'Yes' instantly,” a source told the British newspaper The Sun.

Sam has been her rock since their tragic news and she is looking forward to marrying him.

"He's been her rock for her since the couple lost their baby and she can't wait to spend the rest of her life with him," the source said

Ah! Congrats Lily and Sam, we really wish you all the happiness, you deserve it!
