Wednesday 29 August 2012

Lindsay Lohan has been banned from world-famous hotel Chateau Marmont over a £29,500 unpaid bill.

The Parent Trap actress stayed in the upmarket West Hollywood hotel during the months of June and July and managed to rack up a hefty sum of money on room service, mini bar and restaurant bills. But, the 26-year-old has failed to pay for her services, forcing the manager to ban her from the premises.

A US website obtained a personal letter addressed to Lindsay from the hotel’s general manager Philip Pavel reiterating their ‘repeated attempts for resolve the bill.’

He writes: ‘As you are aware from our previous correspondences starting on July 8, you currently owe the hotel a grand total of $46,350.04 in charges for your stay starting on May 30, 2012’ before informing her that she will no longer be allowed on their premises.

‘As we have made repeated attempts to resolve this pressing matter over the last few weeks without any resolution, I regret to inform you that we will no longer be able to extend any further credit for you to remain in the hotel.

‘Please have all of your belongings removed from Suite 33 by 12:00PM, Wednesday, August, 1, 2012.’

The letter went on to explain that Lindsay will also not be able to use the popular-among-the-stars restaurant on site until her bill is paid up.

Lindsay was staying in the hotel while she filmed Liz & Dick, where she plays Elizabeth Taylor in the biopic of her life.

She hosted a slumber party for friends Lady Gaga and photographer Ellen Von Unwerth while there and was pictured smoking in her room.

It has certainly been a hectic few weeks for the 26-year-old ‘Mean Girls’ actress as reports have also emerged today that Lindsay will now not face charges for her alleged part in the £63,000 jewellery heist last week.

Following her claims yesterday that she had been set up, the Los Angeles County District Attorney has reportedly thrown out the case due to insufficient evidence.
