Lindsay Lohan released from jail after 13 days

Monday 02 August 2010

Wild child Lindsay Lohan has been released from jail – after serving a paltry 13 days of her 90-day sentence.

The party-loving 24-year-old actress seems to have a knack for freedom, having spent only 84 minutes behind bars on November 15, 2007, for violating probation on a conviction for driving under the influence.

Her most recent jail stint stemmed from the same case, after a judge in Beverly Hills decided Lohan violated her probation by missing seven weekly alcohol education classes since December.

According to MailOnline, the L.A. County Sheriff's Department confirmed today that bisexual Li-Lo is set to go to straight from jail to rehab.

Her early release comes following good behaviour and because of overcrowding at the Lynwood women's jail.

It seems the cells are a popular celeb haunt, with Paris Hilton and Michelle Rodriguez also spending time there in the past.

Yesterday Lindsay's lawyer hit back at claims that her court-ordered 90 days in rehab will see her treated for Methamphetamine addiction and bi-polar disorder.

Lindsay’s lawyer attorney Shawn Chapman Holley has told RadarOnline: “The report that my client, Lindsay Lohan is going to be treated for methamphetamine addiction is categorically false.”

Although she refused to reveal to RadarOnline what addiction Linds will be treated for, she added: “Lindsay isn't a meth addict. I have no idea where that came from, but I can tell you, it's false.”

Do you think Lindsay will have benefited from her spell in jail?

does it really matter what shes addicted to? its still an addiction there denying it as if being addicted to meth is worse than being addicted to alcohol there as bad and as dangerous as each other! as for being let out thats absolutely pathetic how the hell are these celebs going to learn when they are seemingly above the law!

RE: Lindsay Lohan released from jail after 13 days

She did 14 days actually and it was the court appointed psychiatric report that decided a 90 day rehab - she was going to Promises rehab, but is now going to UCLA for bi-polar treatment and for an addiction to amphetamines prescribed to her by her doctor and alcohol I think, NOT methamphetamines which is totally different!!
sugar sweet I agree it doesn't matter what you are addicted to, you are an addict for the rest of your life and everyday is a battle to stay sober/clean! It's not just celebs who get away with doing little time y'know it's normal people too - whatever your sentence you normally only ever serve half before being released on probation, some less than half!! Because LiLo is going straight to rehab for the above treatments the Judge was fine with her release - and this is a Judge who was reportedly anti LiLo anyway lol!!! The problem we have both here and in the US is overcrowding in Jail's, which is probably how so many get let out early hm?!
I will say I DON'T believe in 90 day programs, it's too easy to fall back off the wagon when you're released what you need is in patient 6 month minimum rehab which is available - just costly!! If you don't get to the source of your addiction why bother doing rehab in the first place!
