Lisa Riley: 'I look like a pregnant Beyonce!'

When Lisa Riley swept straight to the top of the scoreboard on the first live performances of Strictly Come Dancing, she stunned both viewers and judges. And it’s been a non-stop whirlwind for the actress as she’s become on of the firm favourites to make it to the finals.

 
But, not only have her energetic and on-point performances been the highlight of the show, they have also been the fuel behind her amazing weight loss. The former Emmerdale star has dropped an incredible four dress sizes in just four weeks making her feel like ‘a princess.’
 
The star, 36, who has likened her experience on Strictly as being ‘in Dynasty,’ has taken her newfound confidence to new heights by posing in nothing but a black leotard in heat magazine a la Beyonce in Single Ladies.
 
‘Yay! I get to be Beyonce for the day’ said the star.

‘Well, Beyonce pregnant. Or Beyonce after she’s eaten all the pies’ she laughed.
 
The actress who said that she was ‘joining the competition for chubbers everywhere’ is hoping that her public success on the show will help other women to embrace life, whatever their size. ‘If I can inspire one woman to get up and dance, then I’ve done my job’ she said.
 
Lisa spoke of how her romances have failed in the past because of her lively character –  and her big earning power.
‘I’ve had four disastrous relationships, all of which, at the time, I thought were divine love,’ she told a UK magazine.

‘I’d think they were the one, and then disaster.

'You know I’m quite shy when I fancy someone, I have my guard up.

And then once I get comfy, I’m like a never ending Catherine wheel, I never shut up.

‘They’re like, “that’s not the woman I met”.

‘But with two of the four there were issues because I’m an actor.

'I’ve got loads of actress friends who speak from the heart to me exactly the same.

‘Men don’t like women being the breadwinner. It’s a threat to them.’

However, the star has said she has not given up hope of achieving a happy-ever-after romance and she admits she is enjoying the attention she is now getting from the opposite sex as a result of her dance performances.

The dancing diva also said ‘there is someone on the show I’ve got my on’, but refused to spill the beans, insisting it’s definitely not Robin, even though they have seen each other naked.
 
‘We get changed together and we’ve seen each other naked. It’s a gorgeous lovely thing. That’s part of Strictly world backstage, just walking around naked’ she said.
 
‘Apart from me licking and kissing him a lot, we’re like brother and sister! When we did the jive, his crotch was on my thigh, which was heavenly.'
