Macaulay Culkin 'addicted to heroin' after split from Mila Kunis

Rumours have surfaced that Macaulay Culkin, who shot to fame as the adorable Kevin McAllister in the Home Alone movies in 1990, is battling a £4,000-a-month drug habit and is close to death.
An American tabloid reported that Culkin has become a regular user of heroin and is said to have turned his Manhattan apartment into a drug den.
The child-star apparently took a turn for the worst since splitting from long-term girlfriend Mila Kunis, who is now dating Ashton Kutcher, but a spokeswoman for the 31-year-old actor has branded the claims as 'ridiculously fictitious' and 'insulting'.
'The report in the National Enquirer that Macaulay Culkin is addicted to heroin and assorted hallucinogenic is not only categorically without merit, but it is also impossibly and ridiculously fictitious’ said Culkin's publicist, Michelle Bega.
A source told the publication: 'Macaulay Culkin is hooked on drugs and it's killing him.
'He's been hooked for a year and a half, and his drug of choice is either heroin or oxycodone.
'Mac is surrounding himself with junkies and lowlifes. It's a real tragedy.'
The source also claimed Culkin has had a close brush with death in the pastyear and almost overdosed.
'Mac suffered a near overdose, and needed help,' the insider said.
'Fortunately he didn't need to call 911 and the near-OD was kept quiet among his pals. But Mac got very sick.'
In February, pictures of of Culkin looking emaciated and shockingly thin made headlines, forcing his representatives to deny any addictions.
Since the reports emerged, the actor has been keeping a low profile, however it has been reported that he was present at Natalie Portman’s wedding in Los Angeles this weekend.
According to a US website, Culkin and Portman have been ‘friends for years.’
The Oscar winner wed the father of her son Aleph in the grounds of a private home in the dramatic cliff-side California coastal town of Big Sur and exchanged vows in a Jewish ceremony.
