Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony's shocking split was revealed last week when the multi-millionaire couple were meant to attend the Hollywood Bafta Gala as guests of honor with the world’s most famous newlyweds Prince William and Kate. Instead, not only was J-Lo was seen arriving to the bash accompanied by her mother, it appeared that her wedding ring was also missing.
After being together for a solid seven years, the news of the breakup mystified fans with the couple claiming that their final decision to divorce was both a 'difficult' and 'painful' one.
Partly due to their very recent public displays of affection, the shocking split comes as a complete and utter surprise to their fans. It was only two months ago that J-Lo was seen accompanying her hubby on stage during his performance in the finale of American Idol, which they ended with a passionate and loving embrace.
Causing great amounts of confusion among the public, the couple have certainly showed no recent signs of concern for their marriage. However, after speaking to close friends of the couple, a source revealed that their marriage has in fact been in a constant downward spiral after they began to drift in 2004, three years into their marriage.
Their squabble began in 2008 when J-Lo’s mother moved into their New York mansion to help out with their newborn twins. Their rows continued with the couple claiming that they couldn’t agree on where to live.
The Latino beauty claimed that ‘it’s a painful time for all involved and we appreciate the respect of our privacy at this time.’
Being rated this year in People’s magazine as ‘most beautiful,’ Jennifer Lopez is once again back to being her sexy single self. Three marriages down, the star isn’t letting anything get to her. Her post-split plans to leave the country to judge American Idol in Ukraine next week are still going ahead, with a source also revealing that the superstar will be getting paid more than $1 million dollars to perform live at a Ukrainian wedding.
