Wow! If it isn’t Mariah Carey!
Notorious for her enthusiasm for all things shiny, sparkly, expensive and glamorous, it’s somewhat uncharacteristic of Ms Carey to be sporting such a - well - unglamorous look!
However, do not fear!
The unusually dowdy Mariah is just a temporary look we’ll have you know– these shots of the diva are from her new movie, Precious, in which she plays a social worker.
Set in Harlem in 1987, Precious tells the story of an illiterate girl who becomes pregnant with her second child at the age of 16 after her father rapes her.
Pretty serious stuff for the chart-topping diva....
Perhaps being willing to appear on screen sporting a scruffy hairdo and unflattering shirt is an attempt by the sexy star to be taken seriously in the acting world…
What do you make of Ms Carey’s new look? Would you watch her movie or give it a miss?

OMG at first i thought what the hell as she done! She looks about ten years older! then i read it was for a movie,phew!!
God she looks so different,just goes to prove her stylists and make-up team to a great job!!!
I'd probably watch it.

She does look alot older without makeup,her team of stylists etc do an amazing job !!!!!

yes i`ll watch it,, she do look alot dif i don`t like the look so bring back the old her ha ha ha ha,, she looks the part of the movie good luck cant wait to see it
