Lucy Mecklenburgh and Mario Falcone call off their engagement as Mario says Lucy’s ring is a ‘symbol of everything bad that has happened.’

The TOWIE pair – who got engaged on-board a luxury yacht in Marbella this summer – have decided to end their engagement and get rid of Lucy’s sparkling ring once and for all, after several bust ups over the last few weeks.
Lucy, 21, was left reeling last week after she was forced to respond to yet another series of allegations about her fiancé, when a girl who claimed to have received saucy texts from Mario approached her in Essex club The Sugar Hut.
Speaking to best pal Lydia Bright, she said: ‘I’m not a stupid little girl; I know it’s not right. But he’s not physically cheated on me. I need to get out of the flat and give him some time to work out for himself what he’s done wrong.’
The reality star then asked Lydia – who is currently dating Tom Kilbey – to intervene and call Mario.
‘She’s very upset, Mario, as you can imagine,’ she began.
‘She feels you think she’s overreacting. She loves you a lot and has asked me to say all this because she finds it hard to talk to you about it.
'She's been through all this before and she feels enough is enough and she has to draw the line.
'What are you going to do about it? I can't sit by and see this happen every month. No matter what the messages said, you shouldn't have been speaking to other girls.'
Mario claimed that the messages were simply a spot of friendly banter.
'They were totally different messages to the ones I was sending seven months ago. This time, I was having banter with girls about Arsenal and Tottenham’ he said.
‘If it was some fat munter, she wouldn't care.'

But, in a mission to set things right between him and his fiancé, Mario cooked dinner for the brunette – in the nude, before suggesting that they should call off the engagement.
'We were happy before we were engaged. That ring, to me, is a symbol of the bad memories and everything that's happened over the past few months’ he said.
Lucy agreed: 'We're getting rid of the ring. It will feel weird without it, though.'
The awkward encounter comes just days after Mario left Lucy alone in a restaurant after a dinner date turned sourwhen Lucy admitted she wasn't ready for marriage and didn't trust her fiancé.
Elsewhere, Ricky Rayment surprised girlfriend Jess Wright by getting down on one knee - with a key to his flat.

He said: 'I've had thought about us and what we're going to do in the future and I want to show you my commitment. I hope it's not too soon and too much pressure but I wanted to ask you something.'
Jess happily accepted.
