Martine drops two dress sizes for her wedding!

She was a curvy size 16 at Christmas, but last week a radiant Martine McCutcheon showed off her stunning new size 12 figure as she stepped out in London in a pair of skintight trousers.

The former EastEnders actress is due to wed her musician fiancé Jack McManus, 28, later this summer and she’s told friends she has bought a size 10 wedding gown to give her an incentive to slim down even further.

Martine, 35, told pals: “I want to be a perfect size 10 for my wedding – being any skinnier than that doesn’t suit me.

There was no way I was going to walk down the aisle looking like a puff-ball meringue, so I chose a dress I could slim into!”

And Martine, whose weight has yo-yoed between a size 8 and a 16 over the years, has revealed she has ditched crash diets for good. Instead, she’s been eating healthily and cutting down on takeaways and booze.

She told friends: “I’m more mature now, so it’s not about faddy diets, it’s about long-term health and steady weight loss. The word ‘diet’ makes me panic – I give in on day three!”

Pals say the star has been cutting down on processed carbs, like white bread and pasta, and is sticking to smaller portion sizes.



A source reveals: “Martine has been joking that everyone thinks she’s pregnant because she’s cut back on booze and takeaways!”

Martine, who’s 5ft 7, dropped to a size 8 in 2005 when she released a workout DVD, but struggled to maintain it. In 2009 she said she was at her “perfect size” – a 10 and 9½st – but she then gradually went up to a 16.

A source tells Closer: “The weight crept on because she loves spending evenings with Jack cooking pasta and drinking red wine. Her weaknesses are takeaways and chocolate.”

Martine has been dating Jack since 2007 and the pair are currently planning a fairy-tale summer wedding.

Martine has told friends: “Jack has known me skinnier and curvier, but he loves me whatever size I am. I hope he’ll cry when he sees me walking down the aisle. I plan to make him the happiest man alive!”

And while last year Martine said she wasn’t “yearning to be a mother,” pals say she’s feeling broody as her wedding approaches.

A source says: “Martine hopes to have a baby by next year – another reason she wanted to lose the weight was to be in the best shape for pregnancy.”
