Love Rehab for McFly’s Dougie
Monday 07 March 2011
Seeing pictures of your ex canoodling with their new boyfriend is never going to be easy, but if your ex girlfriend’s new beau happens to be a star footballer it’s bound to be just a touch more soul crushing.
Unfortunately for McFly’s Dougie Poynter, seeing his ex, The Saturdays’ Frankie Sandford flitting around town with her new boyfriend, West Ham footballer Wayne Bridge proved so emotionally testing that the initial 3 days of the McFly tour, due to start on 12 March, had to be postponed with Dougie checking in to the far less glamorous venue, rehab.
McFly fans need not fret as lead singer, Tom Fletcher assured his twitter followers that "He's just been having a tough time lately and needed a few weeks rest so he's fighting fit and ready to slap that bass for you on tour."
Fans can also check out McFly’s new song 'That’s the Truth’ which sees Dougie taking on the lead role in the band’s video as a heartbroken man, crying whilst reading a letter and singing "How can you treat me like that, when I give my all to you?"
Life imitating art anyone?
Get well soon Dougie, we’re sure you won’t be single for long! Form an orderly queue girls.
