Mr Nasty visits children's hospice
Friday 30 October 2009
TV’s Mr. Nasty showed his rarely-seen softer side and faced his biggest critics when he visited a children’s hospice.
All eyes were on Simon Cowell during his recent visit to the Christopher’s Children's Hospice in Surrey where he talked and played with the terminally ill youngsters.
‘I actually find them easier to talk to than adults, genuinely,’ said the music mogul. ‘They're funny, they've always got opinions and you can learn a hell of a lot more from them than you do from grown ups.’ he added.
The sharp-tongued X factor judge recently came under fire for bringing Cheryl Cole to tears after blaming her for her protege Lloyd Daniel’s poor song choice.
Cowell, 50, who doesn’t have any children of his own, first got involved with CHASE children’s hospice years ago and was named the patron of Children's Hospices UK this week.
The hospice sadly gets little government funding, and relies on fundraising and donations. It will, however, benefit from the money raised by this year's X Factor charity single.

We love the nicer Simon! What do you think? Is this the real Simon and the guy we love to hate just for the cameras?

It's nice to hear more about the nicer side of Simon Cowell, he's been involved for years now but we rarely hear about it! The guy has to be a softy inside I mean he stays in contact with all his exes as friends and still treats them generously, as well as the kids!
clarabella, Miaow, but so true - personally I feel Cheryl Cole is useless as a singer , but hey her fans must love her, perhaps they all wear ear muffs lol!!

:D I love Simon! Although he's portrayed as Mr Nasty, he's actually a genuinely nice person and his comments on the X Factor/ Britain's got talent are usually right.
