Natalie Cassidy’s fiancé guilty of assault
Wednesday 01 June 2011
It has been revealed that Natalie Cassidy’s fiancé, Adam Cottrell, has been found guilty of assaulting the Eastenders star. It can be revealed that the former soap star was hit with a slipper and smeared with her own make-up. Walford’s favourite Jackson was left devastated by the dramatic turn of events and has been inconsolable ever since.
Mr. Cottrell, 31, has been informed that he will serve community service, although serving a prison sentence is not out of the question. Magistrate Jackie Mountford has said, “we are not at all ruling out custody at this stage.”
After hitting Natalie with a slipper, grabbing her arms and staining her face with make up, the father of one was said to have caused a substantial amount of damage to their £190,000 home. He admitted smashing up a microwave, wine glasses and a candelabra in his frenzied attack.
At the court hearing this week he admitted assaulting his fiancé twice. The first was April 13, where he struck her with a slipper and smeared her face with mascara. The second on May 20, where her grabbed her by the arm and ripped her top. It is unclear as to why Adam felt the need to assault Nat, but prosecutor Elaine McMillan told the Daily Mail, “The aggravating features appear to be that these offences are committed when the defendant has consumed alcohol.”
Soon after the final assault happened, the former BBC star walked out of her flat, taking her 7 month old daughter with her and kicked Cottrell out too. Having fled to her parent’s house in Lincolnshire, Natalie is said to be devastated. She’s cancelled her wedding and as far as she’s concerned she no longer has a fiancé. Nat’s dad, Charles has told the Mirror, “At the moment she doesn’t want anything to do with Adam and thinks it’s best if they have some time apart.”
Whatever the outcome of Adam’s sentencing, which is due on June 21, Natalie has a lot to think about. At Closer we just hope she does what’s right for her and her daughter.

RE: Natalie Cassidy’s fiancé guilty of assault
If she take's him back she is out of her mind. She should realise these men do not change no matter how many times they say they will - they do not. They also try to blame the woman and that it was "your fault, you made me do it" - you did not. And when they are finished with you they will start on your child - so do not take him back. He's hit her twice - he'll do it again. I hope he gets jail time.
