Nicola McLean suffers miscarriage

Nicola McLean is said to be devestated after suffering a miscarriage earlier this week.
The 30-year-old feared that she may have caused the miscarriage by drinking champagne at the start of the pregnancy before she knew she was with child.
She said that after going to see her doctor for her 12-week scan, she was told the heartbreaking news.
She said: 'There was no heartbeat. The doctor told me that the baby's heart probably stopped at nine weeks.'
Although Nicola was worried that it was down to her drinking at the beginning of her pregnancy, her doctor said 'the baby was never going to grow or form properly.'
She said: 'I did worry, so I asked the doctor and he told me that a lot of people drink when they're pregnant in the early stage - unless they've planned the baby - as there's no way of knowing, and some people do remain on anti-depressants while they're pregnant too.'
She is said to have suffered a common experience called a chromosome abnormality, which is also referred to as a missed miscarriage because there are no symptoms.
