One Direction have made American music history - and Harry Styles’ mum knows exactly how to cash in!
Everyone’s favourite boyband One Direction have made music history by being the first British band to top the U.S Billboard charts with their first two albums both debuting at number 1!
The new album ‘Take Me Home’ has sold a whopping 540,000 copies in its first week knocking Taylor Swift’s most recent offering ‘Red’ into number two.
22 year-old Taylor might be a bit miffed to be off the top spot but as rumours about a possible romance between her and 1D’s 19 year-old Harry Styles keep circulating it looks like she’s still got a lot to smile about.

Also smiling will be Harry Styles’ Mum, Anne Cox. Yesterday it was revealed that the star's mum sold the Mini Cooper Harry bought her for Mother’s Day last year on an online auction site last week – and used the stars name and picture to bump up interest, although Anne had to warn potential buyers that Harry wouldn’t be there when they picked the car up.
Despite their massive success the 1D boys seem to be remaining totally grounded saying recently; 'We were a little bit nervous about how people were going to take it [the new album].'
But the boys know where their popularity lies and Harry added 'We just want to say a massive thanks to all the fans who have supported us.'
