The best bits, the funny bits and the not so much…
Adele’s poise as she’s cut off
Undoubtedly something everyone is talking about today is woman of the moment Adele. Aside from being a global sensation having won six Grammy Awards last weekend, she also picked up two Brit awards last night. What a year for the singer!
But, as she won Best Album at The Brits last night, disaster struck! Adele was spouting an epic speech about the excitement of being British and winning the award for best British album when host, James Corden cut her off!
Midway through her speech, after waiting for her round of applause to finish, James had to stop her before introducing Blur to the stage.
The Tottenham girl said: "Are you gonna cut me off? Can I just say then, goodbye and I'll see you next time round' before sticking her finger up.
Adele has since defended her action by saying: 'I was about to thank the British public for their support. They cut me off, sorry if I offended anyone but the suits offended me.'
Here is a glance at the cringe worthy moment:
James Corden’s further disruptions
What could be the worst thing someone could do to you while your presenting live to the nation? Walk in front of the camera perhaps? Because that is exactly what happened to poor James Corden last night on numerous occassions...
Here is the hilarious video of when the first guy walked right past the camera as James introduced ed Sheeran to the stage... Not, James: “Excuse me mate, just working here.” Television gold!
Later on in the night, Labyrinth got in on the action and jumped in front of the camera. James playfully mentioned that he simply wanted to get in the shot because no one had asked him to perform at the Brits. Ouch!
Coldplay lit up the start
The Coldplay lads lifted our hearts as they opened the show with a performance and a half! Not normally guys to do a job half-heartedly, their set came somplete with strobe-reflecting balls, graffiti covered instruments and clothing and lazers galore.
The fireworks at each pinnacle chorus grew larger and larger making the spectacle more exciting as it went on.
In the last minute of their spectacular performance the fireworks fully immersed them and surged through to reveal the entire stage the show was to be based on in full glory.
We know they are performing in some wonderful venues this year and the word on the street (and Twitter) says they are definitely not to be missed!
