Sandra Bullock in custody battle with porn star

Sandra Bullock entered a controversial custody battle yesterday with the ex-wife of her husband Jesse James.
The 45-year-old actress is fighting for her and Jesse's right to sole custody of five-year-old Sunny on the grounds that Jesse's ex-wife Janine Lindemulder is an unfit mother.
In a court statement, Sandra and Jesse allege that Janine, who is Sunny's biological mother, often leaves her daughter alone while she sleeps after drug use.
They also state that Janine's time in jail on tax charges mean that her ability to take care of her daughter is compromised.
Janine, who has appeared in more than 100 adult films, has said that the attacks have 'hurt her tremendously' and that she is currently a good mother to Sunny.
'I am the best mother I can be,' Janine told Good Morning America. 'Yes, I have absolutely made horrific choices in the past. I've had my share of drugs.'
'But then there's a huge portion of my life, a 10-year span, where there's nothing - I didn't need it,' Janine added.
Sandra's court papers also reportedly say Janine has publicly said that the reason Sandra wants custody is because the actress cannot have children of her own.
'I do believe the reason Sandra is so interested in Sunny is she is saving Sunny from me - from her own mother,' she said in her TV interview.
Janine cannot continue her work as a porn star due to a court order, so is training to become a tattoo artist instead to support her daughter, and apparently wants to prove this to Sandra and Jesse.
"Sandy doesn't know what goes on in my house - I'd love her too. Please, come over! I'll make dinner. You know, let's sit down, two women," she said.

I think that Sunny should stay with her father and Sandra. The mother obviously has a lot of mess going on in her life and needs to sort herself out. She shouldn't immediately get custody just because she is the mother. Fathers have rights to and sometimes they are better, more stable parents. Like this time

From the US media report I read it also stated Jesse and Sandra feared for Sunny's safety with her mother's partner who was not permitted to be around Sunny! If the mother's still with the partner she's got no chance, especially since allegedly drugs and alcohol were involved and still are!!
A mother's right to custody is no longer a given just because she gave birth to the baby, especially if the father is a stable influence and better equipped to deal with his daughter. It did also say Sunny had been traumatised by her mother and then partner which is why Sandra Bullock put off having kids herself to help Jesse stabalise his daughter's life and to care for her, she says she still wants kids with Jesse so who knows!!
Sunny being with her father doesn't mean her mother can't see her if the court agrees after all. If she gets her life together apply for her daughter back then, but she has to prove she is a fit mother who's no longer addicted or got a violent partner around first.
