Stephen Gately laid to rest

Stephen Gately was laid to rest this weekend as stars across the world paid tribute to his life.
The singer reportedly died of a pulmonary oedema (a build up of fluid in the lungs) while on holiday in Majorca last Sunday, and was flown to Dublin to be laid to rest.
The funeral was a tasteful and respectful tribute to the Boyzone singer, as thousands of fans turned up to pay tribute to Stephen, who was being mourned at St Laurence O'Toole's church.
His bandmates acted as pallbearers for the event, fighting back the tears as they carried his coffin to and from the ceremony.
The wake following the ceremony included a champagne reception and toast to Stephen, followed by a lavish four-course meal for his close friends and family.
Sounds like an amazing celebration of his life - RIP Stephen.

It was, without doubt, the most moving, tasteful & heartfelt funeral service (aside from family) that I have ever seen. The Boyz really were outstanding & demonstrated their true feelings by their actions & words.
What a deserved tribute to a lovely & genuine person!
RIP Stephen, your family & friends did you proud x

PS. Wouldn't we all like to think that our mates would prove to be as loyal & true as Stephen's? Sadly I think not! (actually don't fancy any of mine singing!)
