Boyzone's Stephen Gately's dies on holiday

Boyzone's Stephen Gately has died in a tragic accident while on holiday on Balearic island Majorca.
According to reports, the Irish singer choked on his own vomit when he passed out at his holiday apartment after an eight hour boozing session.
Stephen had been partying in Palma with his husband Andy and was spotted drinking heavily until the early hours of Saturday morning. The couple returned to their flat with a fellow partygoer, Giorgi Duchev, where they are believed to have kept boozing.
Andy is said to have gone to bed after they fell asleepon the sofa, but Stephen reportedly decided to stay up a little longer. When Andy woke up hours later, he found his partner dead, lying face down on the sofa.
Frantic Andy desperately tried to revive the 33-year-old for 30 minutes, screaming 'Wake up! Wake up!' and even slapped him around the face. Doctors later confirmed that Stephen's lungs had filled with fluid.
Police are investigating the shocking death of the singer but are not treating it as suspicious as there were no signs of violence or evidence of a suicide. They are trying to track down Bulgarian Giorgi to shed light on what happened at the flat, but the 25-year-old is not under suspicion to be responsible for Stephen's death.
Stephen's partner Andy is said to be 'beside himself' with grief and has not been able to talk about what happened on the night.
Last night Stephen's shocked band members Ronan Keating, Keith Duffy, Mikey Graham and Shane Lynch flew out to Majorca.
They said: "We are completely devastated by the loss of our friend and brother, Stephen. (...) Stephen was a beautiful person in both body and spirit. He lit up our lives and those of the many friends he had all over the world.
"We love you and will miss you forever, 'Steo'."
Band manager Louis Walsh pulled out of the X Factor results show last night as he was too upset to appear on the programme.

Gosh didn't realise how he'd died (choking on his own vomit). It makes you think doesn't it when you've had one or two drinks. My thoughts are with his partner and family

So tragic - he always came across as such a sweet, lovely guy too. Very sad.

I was so devastated yesterday when I heard on Xfacor that he had died. He was my favourite when i was younger. Cant believe this is how he died as well. Its so tragic

its a total shock... i really love Boyzone so much, there not going 2 be the same without Stehen. Such a great guy, deepest symathies 2 his husbabnd Andy and to his family and friends. Will miss you lots Stephen xx
