Stephen Gately had 'taken cannabis'

A forensic report has revealed that tragic Boyzone star Stephen Gately had consumed cannabis on the night he died.
Traces of the drug were found in the singer's urine after he was found dead on holiday in Majorca last weekend.
Stephen's partner, Andrew Cowles, confirmed that the 33-year-old had taken cannabis on the night and had previously used the substance "to relax".
Experts are now carrying out further toxicology tests to find out whether Gately had consumed any other drugs and to determine whether this could have caused his death.
Meanwhile Stephen's Boyzone bandmates have returned to Majorca to escort his body home ahead of Saturday's funeral. The star's devastated husband had asked them to accompany him as he couldn't face the sad final journey on his own.
X Factor judge and Boyzone manager Louis Walsh has confirmed his attendance at Stephen's funeral but said he would not speak at the memorial service as he fears he'd "break down".
Louis, 57, said: "The funeral will hit me hard because it still hasn't sunk in that he's gone. I'm dazed." He has cancelled his appearance on Saturday's X Factor and is said to be undecided about Sunday's live show.

Sorry not getting the relevance here! So what if he smoked a joint - lots of people do (I personally don't - apart from sharing one in Amsterdam last weekend!)
The fact remains that a young, talented & genuine (so it would appear - charity work etc) man has passed away leaving many broken-hearted people in his wake (no pun intended) for God's sake let's just leave him alone; he didn't really court celebrity in his life, acting up for the paps etc and seemed to just want to get on with being happy!
Let the poor man, his family, husband, the rest of the band & his friends and fans be!
