Stressed Posh is worried about David

After jetting to her husband David’s bedside in Finland last week, pals say Victoria Beckham is stressed about his football injury.
David – who’s admitted he can be a “nightmare” when he’s injured – flew to Finland last week for surgery on a ruptured Achilles tendon.
Although he has said the op was a success and he’s feeling positive, there is concern the accident has ruined his dreams of playing in this summer’s World Cup, and Victoria is said to be worried it could affect their relationship.
A source says: “David’s absolutely devastated and Victoria is now frantic about how this blow will affect their lives. After a series of tearful phone calls, she flew to Finland to be by his side.

“She’s so upset that his dream has been shattered. But she’s also worried he’ll be so frustrated by the injury they’ll start rowing when he returns to their LA home to recuperate, as she knows David’s OCD tends to get out of control when he’s injured.
In 2006, David told how he suffers from Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) – which drives sufferers to carry out persistent rituals. He said at the time: “I have to have everything in a straight line, or everything has to be in pairs. I’ll go into a hotel room, but before I can relax I have to move all the leaflets and all the books and put them in a drawer. Everything has to be perfect.”
Victoria, 35 – who’s mum to Brooklyn, 10, Romeo, seven, and Cruz, five – has been running the family home without David, 34, since he transferred to play with AC Milan in Italy in January 2009. And the source says she’s dreading having to cope with David’s OCD again.

In 2002 David said: “The most important thing to me is my family, but without football I’m a lost man.” Now Posh is worried his spell away from football could cause tension at home.
A pal says: “Victoria’s thrilled David will be home for a few months, but she’s really worried that she will bear the brunt of his disappointment.
“She’s already got enough to cope with – bringing up the boys and fronting her fashion empire. She wouldn’t be able to handle a tense atmosphere at home, too."
The source adds: “His moods can be hard to cope with – he’s already been replaying the injury over and over in
his head.”
