Reality TV shows have fast become the nation's main source of entertainment (and we're not even afraid to admit it.) After all, what better way is there to spend a week night than poking fun at Joey Essex's latest choice of too-tight attire whilst tweeting about your love of Made in Chelsea's Jamie's pronounciation of the word party (pardy, anyone?)
Big Brother, TOWIE, MIC, X Factor - they're full of scenarios for us to laugh, cry and become worryingly angry about. But what they do best of all is create moments for us to cringe into our TV dinners at.
Take this weekend for instance. Former Coronation Street actress Julie Goodyear suffered what was no doubt a career low after she had to seductively eat a banana on national television. Not sounding cringey enough yet? The 70-year-old actress was fed the banana by a topless 'cherub' wearing gold hotpants small enough to rival Kylie's.
Stick an unfortunate camera angle into the mix and you have one of the cringiest moment in reality TV history. We're not sure Bet Lynch would have approved!
