‘Tone down your temper or you’re out!’

She was meant to be feeling relaxed and refreshed after a holiday with boyfriend and N-Dubz bandmate Fazer before filming the judges’ houses stage of The X Factor in Greece.

But instead Tulisa Contostavlos – who showed off her size 8 bikini body – spent most of last week increasingly worried about her future after show bosses advisesd her to clean up her act before the live shows begin, following reports of holiday bust-ups.

After an alleged foul-mouthed tirade towards staff on a British Airways flight to Majorca last month, there was more trouble after claims that Fazer, 24, had brawled with staff in a scooter hire shop in Ibiza on the second leg of their trip.

Tulisa, 23, strongly denied reports that she’d sworn at a cabin steward who asked Fazer to switch off his mobile phone mid-air, saying: “My PA had a disagreement with staff over his mobile phone, but I categorically did not swear at the steward.”

However, a BA spokesman said: “A lady in the party who wasn’t using her phone was abusive towards the crew, telling them to leave her friends alone.”

A source says: “Bosses are concerned that Tulisa could end up hitting the self-destruct button. They will axe her if there are further reports of wild behaviour and tantrums – they basically told her ‘tone down your temper or you’re out.’”

As Closer revealed last week, Tulisa – who has spoken of her tough inner-city upbringing involving drugs, underage boozing and gang culture – has been stressed over rumours that Simon Cowell plans to bring back Cheryl Cole as a guest judge – and insiders say tension has been building for some time.

A source says: “Simon loves that Tulisa speaks her mind and is street savvy and down with the rapping culture – but even he’s expressed concern.

“Tulisa’s can be mouthy behind the scenes. When she’s stressed she’s been known to lose her temper and swear.

She keeps promising to calm down but no one wants her to end up making headlines for all the wrong reasons when The X Factor goes live.

A pal adds: “She reckons some of the bigwigs have it in for her as they want to see Cheryl back. Tulisa feels they are just waiting for her to slip up. She accepts she has to tone things down but she’s not going to mould herself into a ‘perfect girl’ like Cheryl.”
