Victoria tells David: ‘Don’t take your moods out on me!’
Tuesday 17 July 2012
He was spotted with a face like thunder while accompanying his wife Victoria to a birthday party last week, but pals say Posh is losing patience with husband David after he was left out of the British Olympic football team.
Sources say although Victoria, 38, is trying her best to remain sympathetic as David deals with the news, she’s fed up with his dark moods. A pal tells Closer: “Vic is being supportive, but she’s frustrated by his attitude. Although David’s been getting better, he’s still down about the snub. Vic’s losing patience as she feels he’s taking out his frustration on her. She’s telling him to snap out of it, leading to lots of rows.
“Their night out last week at producer Simon Fuller’s birthday was tense. People kept telling David how disappointed they were for him and Vic tried to look totally neutral – it was obvious it was a touchy subject!”
Since 2005, David, 37, has been an ambassador for the UK Olympics team, alongside Prince William, and was even part of the Olympic torch handover in Beijing in 2008. After hearing he’d been left out of the team – captained by Ryan Giggs, 38 – David said: “Everyone knows how much playing for my country means to me, so I’d have been honoured to be part of the squad. Naturally, I’m disappointed, but there will be no bigger supporter of the team than me.”

And last week David even went as far as saying he doesn’t want to be considered for the role of lighting the torch at the opening ceremony, telling reporters: “I’ve always said lighting the torch in the stadium is something that should be done by an Olympian.
“I’m disappointed [not to be taking part] but life goes on.”
Pals say that although the Beckhams enjoyed a family day out for daughter Harper’s first birthday last week, David has been telling Victoria – who’s also mum to Brooklyn, 13, Romeo, nine, and Cruz, seven – that she’s been focusing too much on her fashion career lately.
A pal says: “Victoria is really busy preparing for her next show in New York Fashion Week in September and it led to a row, with David telling her she was becoming ‘obsessed’ over it. But she just said it’s no different to him and football.”
Victoria is now telling pals she’s worried how they’ll cope once her crazy schedule starts again if they’re already bickering over silly things. She’s previously revealed she has to survive on three hours sleep to cope with all the work and international calls.
The pal adds: “She’s trying to juggle family and work life, but is feeling the pressure. She’ll be immersed in her fashion line for the next few weeks and needs the family to pull together.”
