Worried Cheryl won't sing live on X Factor

Nervous Cheryl Cole is reportedly refusing to sing live when she will perform on The X Factor next Sunday.

The Geordie singer is said to be so worried about her solo appearance that she has decided to pre-record her song Fight For This Love ahead of the live show.

Chezza will sing the song in front of the 800-strong studio audience during the day and tape it - rather than performing it live in front of 14million viewers. This will give her the chance to re-record any missed notes and wobbles if it goes wrong first time round.

Maybe the 26-year-old is worried that her performance will resemble her appearance from last year, when she hit the stage with her Girls Aloud bandmates to perform The Promise. Cheryl's voice slipped once or twice and Simon Cowell mocked her for sounding 'a little bit pitchy'.

The official line, however, is that everybody's favourite judge won't have enough time to get from her panel seat onto stage in time, so she had to pre-record.

Next week's special guest will be Whitney Houston - who will perform live, by the way...

Aaaawww, Chez, don't be nervous! Mind, we wouldn't want to share a stage with Whitney either! Will you watch?

Talk about a farce she wouldve had a lot more respect from the public if she did sing live whether she is good or not, how can she then sit there and judge the other performances. As for not having time to get from her seat to stage they couldve solved that by getting her to perform first at the beginning of the show then doin a quick change during ads. It makes a mockery of the whole show

She'll join the x-factor club tho won't she? Alexandra Burke mimed her way thru her song last Sunday. I suppose Cheryl will sing live-ish. I agree with lovingmum about the mockery of the whole thing, if someone is singing on x-factor, they should all sing live, whoever they are. I thought Robbie Williams was great, although his eyes freaked me out a bit!

What a shame, after sitting and judging people for the last two seasons and deciding whether their dreams will be crushed because of their voice, she then decides to pre-record her song instead of singing live. I wasn't a big fan of Kandy Rain but at least they had a go at singing (maybe not in the best attire) whether in tune or not and have comments made about them from Cheryl. After all the hurtful things said about Robbie Williams in the press and the judges comments about him not being the greatest singer but a super entertainer, even he came on and sang live.
I'm sure Polydor or Simon don't want to see her fail as they have big plans for her but do people really want to make a fake of their 'Nations Sweetheart'.
What joke the programme is becoming. I'm sure while Dermot was introducing her song, she could get up off her seat and walk to the stage. As far as changing for the song, she could do that in breaks, the viewers are understanding of the fact that the programme is live. We're very disappointed.....

Wow. Seriously? She sits on the panel as a judge and won't even sing live? I like Cheryl but she should be singing live. It is the X Factor, it is all about LIVE! Robbie sang live, he was a little out of tune at parts (ooh listen to me haha!) but I totally had a lot of respect for him after- I thought 'At least he sang live and gave it a shot!'. His eyes were totally freaky though! X

I think its appalling! They're miming on a SINGING show! Everyone knows Cheryl can't sing and her new song is so overproduced. As for Alexandra Burke miming, she should have sung really because she won the show for her voice. Personally I don't think that any performers should be allowed to mime.
