Cheryl Cole and Will.I.Am were involved in a minor car accident yesterday whilst on their way home from the recording studio where they are recording together.

The pair were travelling home together in the early hours of the morning when the accident happened.  Shortly after the crash Will.I.Am tweeted to his four million followers:  'Car accidents are not dope. I'm glad I'm OK.'

Cheryl, 29, later tweeted her followers to reassure them that they were both OK,

'Don't worry me and @iamwill are fine, promise.'

Reports in a British newspaper suggest that Will.I.Am, 37, was driving the Cadillac when it hit a parked car during the journey.

Later tweets from Will.I.Am’s manager Polo Molina confirmed that the crash was minor; 'Just spoke to @iamwill, everything is OK. He and Cheryl Cole are both fine. It was a minor fender bender after a long day/night in the studio.’

Cheryl has been working in LA recently spending long hours in the studio and the gym in preparation for her upcoming UK tour which kicks off at the beginning of October.

Shortly after announcing her plans to tour Cheryl reportedly told a British newspaper she is fully aware of her singing ability saying,

‘I know I’m no Mariah Carey but I think the emotion in the song is what matters.

It's making people feel what you’re singing about.'
