Wagner tries to headbut Harry Styles

Uh oh, could we be witnessing the downfall of the reign that Wagner has held ont he X Factor voters this year?

The fiery Brazilian is sure to lose some of his loyal followers after it was revealed that he tried to head-butt teen girls favourite Harry Styles from One Direction.

Wagner lunged at his boy-band rival in an amazing bust up, telling Harry 'Don't mess with a man who knows martial arts.' The 54-year-old threw himself at the 16-year-old and tried to head-butt him, thankfully he missed but studio staff had to drag the scuffling pair apart.

He was then quickly taken away to cool down. X Factor insiders said 'Trouble flared towards the end of a video session, when tensions were already running high.

'Wagner, One Direction, Nicolo Festa, Storm Lee and John Adeleye had all sung a line together and immediately after it, Harry was told jokingly to rugby tackle Wagner as he walked out of shot.

'Unfortunately no one had told Wagner what was in store. The next thing he knew, Harry was play fighting him to the ground and Wagner didn't realise the camera was still rolling.

'Incensed, he shook Harry off and squared up to him, locking foreheads. He looked pretty scary as he snarled at Harry, warning him he was a Karate expert.

'It was all pretty hostile and the atmosphere afterwards was terrible.'

Apparently, Wagner was mortified when staff told him that Harry's tackle had all been a part of the show.

The contestants had been recording their charity single when the bust-up happened. This comes after a string of complaints had been made about the Brazilian.

He has been told off for his 'touchy-feely' behaviour toward the female backing dancers as well as allegedly trying to get a member of the research team sacked after she refused his advances.

Last night, an X Factor source said, 'Wagner was just being playful. He feels like a 15-year-old-by himself and sometimes forgets that he's not. He's just a big softie at heart.'

We do wonder if this little incident may have been slightly blown out of proportion. Hmm...
