X Factor Tulisa supports return of contestant Joseph Whelan

X-factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos has backed contestant Joseph Whelan and wants him to return to the show.
The 26-year-old father of one was booted of the hit TV show last weekend, failing to make it through to the judges’ houses in favour of eccentric Rylan Clarke.
Fans of the attractive rock singer have turned to Facebook to campaign against the judges’ decision in a page entitled ‘Get Joseph Whelan back onto the X Factor.’
More than 225 000 people have since ‘liked’ the page.
And in a bizarre turn of event, Tulisa has agreed! She admitted that she battled to have the ‘gorgeous’ singer on the show but it wasn’t to be.
"All of the judges have different opinions. Sometimes it's not unanimous and everyone is making different decisions. From the get go I wanted him in the competition,” the artist explained to the Huffington Post UK.
"I think he's gorgeous but I was battled with on that one. I am actually a Joseph fan so 'hey, bring back Joseph.'"
Whelan complained to a newspaper earlier this week, saying that he felt “shafted” by the judges decision to put Rylan through and not him.
"I've got nothing against him but from the show's perspective, I think it betrays The X Factor as a singing competition” he said.
He added: "I don't think the show is fixed but I don't think they're looking for singers - they're looking for celebrities."
But Tulisa came back at his remarks. She said:"I don't know what he means. We've got to pick somebody and it's not like all of us came to the same decision but if it was up to me he would still be in it."
The former N-Dubz star admits that she is ecstatic to be mentoring the girls, but admits that she has a favourite in the boys category too.
"I absolutely love James Arthur,” she gushed.
"He's amazing. I think he's got an amazing voice. I think he's going to go so far in the competition - even a potential winner."
