X Factor's Cher Lloyd dubbed the "new Cheryl"

X Factor has only been back on our screens for a mere two weeks and already we are seeing an influx of potential new stars and a wave of contestants who should probably limit singing to the shower…
This past Saturday’s show featured 16 year old Cher Lloyd. The pretty young singer trembled her way nervously on stage before performing a slick, soulful rendition of Soulja Boy’s Turn My Swag On. The judge’s expressions broke into wide grins and even Simon was taken back by this polished performer.
After her audition Cheryl exclaimed: “You are right up my street!” before saying that Cher was her “favourite audition so far.”
It’s not hard to see why Cheryl took a shine to the young diva. Sporting a military style jacket and a small tattoo on her hand, her style drew a close resemblance to the Geordie judge.
Even Simon was full of praise for the young singer and the 16 year old left the stage with 4 big yeses.
Another 16 year old contestant who was a hit for the judges was Liam Payne, who was turned away by Simon Cowell after the judge’s stage two years ago.
Claiming that Liam was too young at 14, the young hopeful took Cowell’s advice and tried his luck a second time round.
Singing a Michael Buble version of Cry Me a River, the 16 year old received a standing ovation and positive praise from all four judges.
But despite the string of potential new stars, the show was not without its nightmare auditionees.
Lisa and Abbey’s on stage bust up was reported weeks ago but on this past Saturday’s show, we finally got to see the moment when the terrible audition resulted in Lisa being punched in the face.
Leaving the stage to a chorus of boos, the judges looked horrified following the drama, with Cheryl exclaiming: “She just punched her!”

I hate to admit it, but I class that punch as a TV highlight of the year! It is wrong to see it as entertainment, I mean this is just two young, immature girls who have been brought up to be bullies having an almighty bitch fest on national TV. I would be seriously mortified if that was my daughter up there punching her friend, or talking to someone (regardless of it being Natalie) like they are nothing and with no manners, because it shows those two girls have not been brought up to respect others or with manners. Shame really but they will never be forgotten and all for the wrong reasons.

im suprised they aired it to be honest usually they dont show violence especially on a family entertainement show thats on before the watershed! i missed the on sat why did she punch her????? not that theres any excuse but just wondering!

I think the girl who punched the other girl was trying to get respect and get the vote from the judges, but the audience were having none of it and after singing a terrible audition where the girl (who got punched) sang an awful out of tune song. The girl was trying to show off in front of everyone and make us think “OMG” “WOW! We see her go off stage shouting abuse while the other girl is acting innocent claiming” I didn’t no who she was” .it just shows us how kids are getting brought up these days!

Natalie Imbruglia (sp) was giving her opinion and the girl who got punched turned and said ''Who are you? by the way'' Natalie laughed it off but her friend thought she was being rude so clocked her one. As you do. ;-)

They are pure Jeremy Kylers. I thought it was hilarious. What made me laugh the most was the girl who hit her friend really believed it was her mates attitude that ruined her chances of getting through and that's why she hit her. Hahaha quality. I can't believe how crackers some people are.
