Rihanna goes girly at Time 100 Gala

Rihanna ditches studs and spikes for pretty in pink at Time 100 Gala!
Famed for a less than apologetic dress code consisting of studs, spikes, slogan tees and shorter than short shorts, it was refreshing to see Good Girl Gone Bad Rihanna slip into a princess-like, bright pink ball gown for the Time 100 Gala in New York.
The 24-year-old Bajan beauty showed her softer, more girly side at the event celebrating TIME'S 100 Most Influential People In The World, by covering up in the demure outfit: a bold, strapless bustier and full skirt.
Completing her girl-next-door look - surprising for the extrovert singer who loves nothing more than hardcore partying and lounging in stringy two-pieces on a luxury yacht – with side swept, retro Hollywood curls, dazzling chandelier earrings, black pumps and a statement pout; RiRi almost reminded us of the fresh-faced teen who arrived on the music circuit back in 2005.
Later, for her performance at the event, Rihanna changed into an equally stylish metallic trouser and a contrasting, strapless metallic top ensemble.
Although it’s great to see the trend-setting, and often provocatively dressed songstress showing us just how much of a fashion chameleon she really is, Rihanna’s mum was in a far less coy mood, embarrassing her daughter at the event with cringe worthy jokes about alleged lover, Ashton Kutcher.
Rumours that Rihanna and Ashton were an item first arose when she was spotted arriving at the star’s LA house around midnight and staying until 4am, last month.
The singer later tweeted of her embarrassment: 'Well....2nt consisted of us singing Bob Marley, drinkin Vintage Scotch, and my mom thinkin a joke abt Kutcher was appropriate! #Thxtime100'
