Wireless goes style-less!

After what looked line a promising style line up at this weekend’s Wireless festival, we were miffed to see a rotation of mini Rihannas roll out on stage.
In an era of music style extremes from Lady Gaga’s pork chop couture, to Katy Perry’s Willy Wonka candy creations, why is it that the popettes performing at London’s cool Wireless festival all ended up looking the same?!
The crop-top clad starlets rolled on stage one-after-another like an army of identikit Rihanna’s, all with mini hemlines, (shorts being the most favorable choice) sporting bare midriffs and disheveled waves, topped off with layered gold chains a plenty.
Whilst we applaud Rihanna's kick ass outfit - she did after all pioneer this popette 'look', the rest were just poor imitations.
Tulisa’s ensemble looked like she’d just stumbled out of her teenage sister’s wardrobe, whilst Nicki Minaj appeared to have been given a Barbie ghetto make–over! As for current golden girl Rita Ora, we know she can do better than revamped nineties grunge – we’ve seen it all before – on Rihanna only better!
What a mighty festi-fashion let down ladies, but have no fear – whilst we bemoan the girls lack of individuality we can also eagerly look forward to the arrival of the amazing autumn collections. Surely a change of season will spur on a tidal wave of new celebrity looks to quench our style thirst? Watch this space!
