Actress Jennifer Aniston has accepted a proposal from boyfriend Justin Theroux his agent has confirmed. The actor popped the question during his birthday celebrations on Friday with the Friends star accepting immediately - perhaps finally putting an end to speculation of her resentment towards ex-husband Brad Pitt.

The Sex and The City actors’ spokesperson confirmed the engagement to a US magazine, saying: 'Justin Theroux had an amazing birthday on Friday, receiving an extraordinary gift when his girlfriend, Jennifer Aniston, accepted his proposal of marriage.'
The pair have been dating for a year, having met during filming of Wanderlust in which they both starred.

Jen's ex Brad Pitt has been dating Angelina Jolie since 2005 and the pair are also engaged
It has been reported that Jennifer turned down a proposal from Justin during a romantic holiday in Europe in June. And during a recent interview a philosophical Jen, 43, shared her thoughts on chasing perfection, saying 'A perfect life? I think that’s sort of cliché, isn’t it?

'Like, if you want to be happy, you should have the house, the husband, the kid... Kids are messy!'
Jen’s love life has been the subject of scrutiny and speculation since she shot to fame as a member of the cast of Friends. Her four and a half year marriage to Brad Pitt ended in 2005 amid rumours of his adultery with the actor starting a relationship with Angelina Jolie soon after. Since the split she has dated actor Vince Vaughan, British model Paul Sculfor and singer John Mayer.
Theroux, 41, dated designer Heidi Bivens for 14 years before his relationship with Jennifer.
