- Don’t hoover up your children’s leftovers – a few nibbles soon adds up to a lot of calories
- Remove all junk food from your cupboards
- Freeze fruit smoothies to make ice lollies the taste great and the kids will love them
- Look for healthier alternatives to white sugar – I buy gingerbead men that have been sweetened with fruit sugar
- For special occasions, make healthier versions of your favourite treats. I make a delicious banana cake, using wholemeal flour, yoghurt and honey.
