Post baby Bikini Body in just 6 weeks!

It’s been a storming 12 months for Lucy Benjamin. She’s married the love of her life, got pregnant, given birth to a little girl – and lost her baby weight!

Since Lucy had baby Bessie last November, she’s gone from 10st 1lb to 7st 7lbs – a healthy weight for her tiny 5ft frame. And she did it by following a Closerdiets plan devised especially for new mums.

“I’m thrilled I’ve lost the weight,” says the ex-EastEnder, “I’ve lost nearly 5 inches from each thigh, 3 inches from my waist and 2 from each hip, which is fantastic!”

Cravings

During Lucy’s pregnancy she had cravings for winegums, biscuits and baked potatoes crammed with butter and cheese and her weight gradually crept up from 7st 7lbs to over 10 st.

Lucy managed to shed the first 1½st naturally, after Bessie was born, “I was breastfeeding, which helps you lose weight” she says, “but then I hit a plateau at 8st 7lbs.”

It was then that Closerdiets.com stepped in to help Lucy regain her pre-pregnancy figure. Because she was still breastfeeding, she followed a special 1,700-calories-a-day diet, created to give her enough calories to feed Bessie, but help her lose unnecessary pounds.

And Lucy couldn’t rate the diet enough! “It was one of the best diets I’ve done, because I never felt deprived or starving. I was allowed four meals a day, and could still have the odd packet of my favourite wine gums! The idea was also tailored to fit in with my routine looking after Bessie, and to include all the foods I like.”

As well as eating healthily, Lucy started working out for an hour, three times a week, with personal trainer and Closerdiets fitness expert Sarah Williams.

“I’d run for half and hour, then do stomach, arm and leg exercises,” she says, “I know that exercise is the last thing that new mums want to think about, but I’d really recommend it. It made me feel so much more engaged, and I found it easier to cope when Bessie woke up in the middle of the night.”

The exercise and diet both paid dividends and Lucy steadily lost between 1-2lbs a week. Within eight weeks she’d lost a stone, taking her down to 7st 7lbs. So, what does she think of her new size 8 figure?

“I definitely feel sexier and more confident now!”
