Now here’s a story that’s bound to astonish parents across the country.
A mum was left fuming after being ordered to stop breastfeeding her baby at her local swimming pool - because she was flouting their ban on food and drink.
Laura Whotton, 26, said she was trying to feed her 11-week-old tot while also keeping an eye on her four-year-old son who was swimming.
Despite making sure she was covered with a towel, a lifeguard at John Carroll Leisure Centre in Nottingham ordered the mum-of-two to stop because the leisure centre had a ban on food and drink by the pool.
“It's the most natural thing in the world - and I was made to feel like I was doing something terrible,” Laura said.
She told the lifeguard she was not being indecent and was entitled to breastfeed her son by law, but he refused to back down.
Nottingham City Council blamed "confusion" over the wording of the rules for the centre and has apologised to the young mother.

YES, YES, YES!!!!! Of course they should be able to, there is nothing discusting or degrading about breast feeding!!! if the tot needs feeding they can't wait like adults!!! this is the most ridiculous thing i have ever heard!!

of course she should breastfeed the baby is hungry its natural! i breast fed all of my five children in public and if people dont like it they should get a life!! its about time peoples attitudes changed as its best for baby. My children have all grown up healthy and i think its because i breast fed them and gave them a good start.
